Membership
Members select our Board of Directors and participate in decision-making at our annual general meeting. Members are kept informed of clinic activities, usually at the Annual General Meeting. An election is held once per year to fill vacancies on the Board of Directors.
Board Members
The Legal Clinic is governed by an independent, community-based Board of Directors. The board consists of 10 members. Members of the board commit approximately 3 to 4 hours per month to the clinic. A board member must be a resident of Lanark or Leeds and Grenville counties, and be at least 18 years of age.
Responsibilities
- Attend an orientation and regular meetings of the board (usually once a month)
- Read and understand material before the board meetings
- Participate in committee work and planning sessions as required
